Affordable paintings, prints and framed ceramic tiles with bold images and bright colours to enhance the walls of your home.
Linda Samson studied Fine Art at Glasgow School of Art and now lives and works in London and Fife, in Scotland.
Her portfolio includes drawings, paintings, prints and framed ceramic tiles and her style is predominantly figurative, the images taken from life, adapted and placed in imagined settings. Influenced by memories of a childhood landscape, spent on the east coast of Scotland, the sea, sky, birds, moon rising over the water are recurring motifs. Her work is bold in design. The strong, often female forms are influenced by Piero Dela Fransceca and Picasso, the still interiors echo early De Chirico, but the colours are found in the northern light of the Scottish landsape. Whether it is a canvas, an etching plate or a piece of clay, the artist sees it as a surface on which to create a seductive image.
Linda Samson has exhibited in London, Paris, New York and Edinburgh and her work features in many private collections.
